About Steve Wicklund
My wife, Cindy, and I have lived in Union Grove for more than 14 years, where we’ve built our life and raised our family in a community we’re proud to call home. We’ve been married for 20 years, and family has always been at the center of everything we do.
Cindy is an instructor at Gateway Technical College, helping students gain practical skills and prepare for their careers. Our family reflects the same values I bring to my work and public service — responsibility, hard work, and commitment to others.
Our son Zak works for me as an electrical apprentice, learning the skilled trades through hands-on experience and formal training. Cole is an engineering student at UW–Platteville, focused on problem-solving and innovation. Brody keeps us all on our toes with his love of video games and plenty of time spent with his cats and dog.
I credit my parents — who live in Wisconsin’s Northwoods — with instilling in me a strong work ethic, independence, and respect for community. Those values shaped how I was raised and continue to guide how I lead and how I raise my own family.
Outside of work and public service, I enjoy playing bass guitar and spending time camping with family and friends. Music and the outdoors help me stay grounded — whether it’s unplugging around a campfire or picking up a bass after a long day.
Living and working in Union Grove keeps me focused on what matters most: strong families, responsible government, and communities that look out for one another.
